I've got a couple for you today. The first is "V Is For Variegated Threads". This is the latest in the complimentary collection called "The Stitcher's Alphabet". You can find it and the letter blocks A through U on my freebies page here: http://www.brookesbookspublishing.com/CrossStitchFreebies.html Just scroll down and click on the little "V" image to download the chart. You'll first need a copy of Adobe Reader on your computer to make this work.
Have you seen the "Stitcher's Alphabet" SAL that Meagan started here: http://bbabcsal.blogspot.com/ ? I love watching everyone's progress. All are welcome to join.
I've got another one for you today. Have you heard of the World Of Charity Stitching Yahoo! Group? WOCS
is a Yahoo group of counted cross stitchers, quilters, and sewists from
around the world that make lap quilts, therapy pillows, walker bags,
tote bags, wheelchair bags, greeting cards and bookmarks to give to
children in need and to the elderly in nursing homes. They are the nicest group of stitchers lead by Peggy & Rachel who asked if I'd create a cross stitch snowflake square for their next quilting SAL. I'm actually a member of their wonderful group and haven't yet found the time to contribute a stitched square for one of their projects so I jumped at the chance to do this. I'm honored they asked. So, here's the thing. In order to download the free chart you must become a member of WOCS Yahoo! Group and then when you've been approved you can download it from their Yahoo! Group files. Easy peasy. Go here to join: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WOCS/
For more information, here's their blog: http://www.worldofcharitystitching.blogspot.com/
And here's their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/World-of-Charity-Stitching-Cross-Stitch-Quilting/208593035822435
I love this beautiful snowflake and have signed up to stitch one myself. Thanks again, Brooke, for designing this for our group.
Love, Peggy
