May I just say that I've come off the chain a wee bit and indulged some of my very pink stitchy fantasies with this one? I'd like to introduce The Spirit of Cinderella's Fairy God Mother. I went a little nuts...but I hope in a good way. She's so very Marie Antoinette mashed up with Mdm's. du Pompadour and Barry.
Here she is in full flight. lol
Wind in her feathers...
She's the first of my Famous Fairies in the Spirit size. I hope to do a Tinkerbell and Blue Fairy in the future for this catagory. I should do a Tooth Fairy also...Maybe a Tatiana? But most of all, I've got to do a line of Spirit Princesses so I can design a Cinderella to go with this one. Oh, my...
This model was stitched on 14 count White & Metallic Silver perforated paper with DMC floss & Color Infusions Memory Threads, Kreinik's #8 Fine Braids, 1/8" Metallic Ribbons & Micro Ice Chenille, size 11 seed beads, small craft feathers for her hair and assorted ribbons and trims for her skirt.
Her finished dimensions are approximately 6" x 20". The length can vary depending how long you cut the ribbons.
I got the feathers and ribbons from my local Hobby Lobby & Michael's stores, by the by. Pink is one of my favorite colors so I also had a LOT of ribbons already in my stash that I used...So, by all means, use what you already have on hand for a project like this.
As far as the other stitching materials I highly recommend The Cottage Needle as a source. If you don't see what you want in her listings just ask Rachelle and she'll help you out. I can also recommend 123stitch as a good source.
The Fairy God Mother is available now as a chart pack, which includes perforated paper, beads, beading needle, charts, keys & instructions. No Chart-Only just now.
Thank you SO MUCH for taking a peek.
Happy Spring Stitching...
