Wanted to show you what I've been up to. I'm designing a Bride's Tree ornament collection for 2011. This is the first one called "Home". It will be released in December and the subsequent eleven ornaments will be released one each month in 2011.
I'm so charmed by the idea of the Bride's Tree. It's an old German tradition that says that a bride and groom should have the following symbols on their first Christmas tree to ensure a life of happiness together. Meagan put together the following graph to show the symbols and what they mean.
I designed them with Crescent Colour's Belle Soie Silks and Hand Dyed Cotton floss because I wanted stitchers to be able to create an heirloom collection for their special bride. But I'm also acutely aware of how costly a collection like that is. So, I've made sure to list DMC floss conversions for every color.
Also, wanted to mention that Amy of Down Sunshine Lane is offering a special subscription program for this collection. If you participate you'll get the 12th design for free. Big thank you to Amy for offering this.
